Work included:
Breaking out of existing tarmacadam surface
Levelling and compaction of type 1 subbase
Install new precast concrete channels between existing gullies on ready-mixed concrete.
Installation of new rotary washing lines
Hand laying of AC20 & AC6 open graded tarmacadam
Waste sampling for contamination.
Disposal of contaminated waste (Tar Bound) to licensed facility.

Innovation:
The existing hardstanding areas had deteriorated and become uneven over several years causing trip hazards for the residents. The old-line style washing lines were also damaged and required replacing. Due to the lack of existing drainage furniture, BPM recommended excavating & resurfacing the areas with an open graded asphalt and install new rotary washing lines, to rejuvenate the space.
