Lee Probert Managing Director
Lee established the company in 2005 and has since seen the business develop and flourish into an organisation which reflects professionalism and reliability, whilst maintaining its ethical and moral responsibilities. Current duties include all Commercial matters and overseeing the overall performance & welfare of the company and its employees.
Jon Kitching Compliance Officer
Jon joined the company in March 2017. His skills were identified by the MD and he was quickly promoted to Site Supervisor. After displaying and demonstrating further abilities, Jon's role has progressed to Compliance Officer. His responsibilities now involve: Safety, Health & Environment Compliance, Quality Control, Security Management, Invoicing and Senior Management Support.
Kirsty Jenkins Finance Manager
Kirsty started working for the business in November 2017 when the company’s expansion required a trustworthy and experienced employee to manage the Sage accounting system, Other duties include: Invoicing, Payments, Debtor Control, Payroll and presenting Monthly Financial Reports to the Managing Director.
Kerry Probert Office Manager
Kerry began working for Benchmark in November 2017 when the company’s expansion required a dedicated employee to manage the Administration for the entire business. Kerry’s responsibilities include: Cost Clerk, HR, Quality Management System and General Assistance to all Supervisors, Managers and the Managing Director.
Neal Curtis Contracts Manager
Neal began working for the business in 2012 as our first Contracts Manager. Neal’s responsible for Full Project Management of the South West Regional Prime Contract (MOD) within the Avon, Gloucester, Wiltshire and Somerset regions.
Neil Probert Contracts Manager
Neil started working for the company in 2019 and is a Member of the Institute of Asphalt Technology & the Institute of Highways & Transportation. Neil’s duties include Full Project Management of the South West Regional Prime Contract (MOD) in the Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Hampshire regions.
Mark Andow Contracts Manager
Mark originally joined the company in 2011 as a Site Operative and went on to demonstrate good reliability & organisational skills which resulted in him becoming a Site Supervisor. In March 2019, Mark gained his SSMTS and was then promoted to Contracts Manager.
Gary Holding Site Supervisor
Gary joined the business in 2016 as a Site Operative and after demonstrating his reliability & trustworthiness, in 2018 he achieved his SSSTS. With his skills and commitment to Health & Safety, Gary is often responsible for the supervision of sub-contractors and site operatives to help ensure a safe on site working environment.
Neil Andow Site Supervisor
Neil joined the company in 2011 as a Plant Operator and then went on to demonstrate adept H&S awareness skills, resulting with him gaining SSSTS. Neil’s role and responsibilities include on-site supervision on our Hard Landscaping and Ground works projects. Neil is also on the Benchmark Health & Safety Committee Team who represents the workforce.
Liam Coyne Site Supervisor
Liam, the longest serving member of the Benchmark team began working for us in 2005 as a Site Foreman. His obvious experience, knowledge and people skills resulted in him becoming SSSTS trained. Now a Site Supervisor, Liam’s duties include the overseeing of our Civil Engineering, Building and Ground works projects.

Health and Safety
Our commitment to Health and Safety is paramount. All our projects are controlled with a Site-Specific Construction Phase Plan and our employment of an external H&S Consultant (The Building Safety Group) ensures our compliance with all current legislation.
We continually implement and enforce safety control measures on site by means of; Site Inductions, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, LOLER Inspections, Ground Radar Surveys, Near Miss Reporting, Accident Reporting, Weekly Tool Box Talks, HAVs Controls, Fire Prevention, Daily Site Checks, Site H&S Audits, Staff Medicals and many other Safe Systems of Work.
To ensure that all aspects of Safety, Health and Environmental items are considered, addressed and relayed to the workforce, we hold a 6 monthly Safety Committee Meeting. In attendance are Representatives from the Workforce, a Management Representative and the Managing Director.
Further evidence of our commitment to Health and Safety is our continued membership of several Accreditation bodies, who annually review and approve our Company Procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
We understand the importance of complying with all legislation and regulations and are committed to employing best practice methods and moral behaviours.
We are fully committed to providing a service which causes minimum impact to the environment and are constantly looking at ways to improve sustainability and reduce our carbon footprint by reviewing our Method of Working, using well-established and new innovative techniques and education of our staff.
We have a company Environmental Policy and each site operates under a Site Specific Environmental Site Plan. Our External Environmental Consultant ensures our compliance with all current legislation.
