Airfield Maintenance & Earthing Works
Work included:
Remove & replace defective Signage at Charlie taxiway.
Lay new Addagrip
Sweep numerous sites and apply via machine new epoxide paint markings.
Carry out epoxy repairs to damaged concrete.
Over banding centre joints on asphalt taxiway.
Supply bond coat to existing filter drains to improve safety to the perimeter of the taxiway (to Reduce FOD).
Remove defective joints with floor saw, clean ,prime, bond break and apply Thioflex 555 Joint sealant
Utility Survey prior to excavation
Excavation of earth mat & Earth inspection chambers.
Installation of 3 new Earth boxes and connecting copper earth Tape.
Connection between earth boxes & earth mat.
Supply test and certification.

Innovation:
By applying the Epoxide paint with a self-propelled mobile spraying unit , works could be completed in a faster and more efficient manner.
By using spray applied (two coat) epoxide paint, the end product would be less susceptible to erosion as well as removing h the need for any hot works permit, as the material was applied cold.
